Do they still exist?

Ok, I don't generaly dip more than my toe in the pool of secret society theory, however just out of curiostity I thought I would pose this question.

I read at some point somthing (I do not recall what) somthing about the platonists, and the ancient brotherhood of pythagoras still being around...

so the question:

Anyone know if there is any substance to this?
