The symbology on the US $1 -

I've never seen all of this information all together in one place before. I've sifted through a lot to put this together. I've covered as much as possible. Foreigners should be aware that we Americans are NOT taught what these symbols are, or what they mean in school. We don't discuss it at all.

Symbolism on the US $1 - was changed in 1935 by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a 33rd Degree FreeMason.

The Eye of Horus on the US $1

The single eye shows up in Egyptian mythology as the Eye of Horus, an ancient god of the Egyptians. The eye represented wisdom, health and prosperity. Some people think that the "all-seeing eye" is a symbol of Freemasonry, a fraternal organization, and they interpret this as proof that the Founding Fathers believed in Masonic principles and wanted to impose Masonic order on the United States.

Although symbols are open to many interpretations, we do have some historical insight into the design and meaning of some of the images on the one dollar bill. All explanations and interpretations are taken from the United States Treasury Department and the United States Department of State, which is the official keeper of the United States Seal. The $1 we use now came off the presses in 1957 [which made the adage by Senator Joseph McCarthy, "In God We Trust"] (& he also added "Under God" in our Pledge of allegiance at that time, neither were in the originals). The shield consists of red and white stripes with a blue bar above, which does represent Congress. The colors are taken from the American flag and officially, the red represents hardiness and valor, the white represents purity and innocence, and the blue, vigilance, perseverance, and justice. The official meaning of the olive branch and the arrows is that "denote the power of peace & war."

* Annuit Coeptis: He smiles upon our undertaking (The presence of the all-seeing eye indicates "He" is God, but the word for God is not in the text)

* Novus Ordo Seclorum: A New Order of the Ages (Ordo is not in the same case as Coeptis, but we can assume that the order is the undertaking)

* E Pluribus Unum: Out of Many, [come] One

-The center has a carpenter's square and underneath is the Key to the United States Treasury.

-Here is what is on the back of the bill.
-The left-hand circle has a Pyramid with a lighted face. The western side is dark to represent the unexplored West. The capstone has an eye, an ancient symbol for divinity.
-"IN GOD WE TRUST" is on this currency.
-The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, (13 letters)
-The Latin below the pyramid, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM, (13 letters)
-The Roman numeral a the base of the pyramid is 1776.
-The right-hand circle is on every National Cemetery in the United States and is the centerpiece of most hero's monuments. Slightly modified, it is the seal of the President of the United States.

-The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons: First, he is not afraid, he is strong, he is smart. Second, the eagle wears no crown (We had just broken from the King of England). The shield is unsupported - This country can stand on its own. We were coming together as one nation.

-In the Eagle's beak you will read, "E PLURIBUS UNUM", meaning, "Out of many, [come] One".

-Above the Eagle are thirteen stars representing the thirteen original colonies (forming a star of david)

-The Eagle holds an olive branch and arrows in his talons. This country wants peace but we will never be afraid to fight.
-The Eagle always wants to face the olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the arrows.

- There were 13 original colonies, 13 stripes on our flag, 13 steps on the Pyramid, 13 letters in the Latin above, 13 letters in "E Pluribus Unum", 13 stars above the Eagle, 13 bars on that shield (forms a star of david), 13 leaves on the olive branch, 13 fruits, and 13 arrows.
